Igor Sumara

I specialize in e-commerce, IT contracts and new tech business. I run an e-Commerce & Digital business practice at our law firm.

I am a graduate of the Jagiellonian University. I completed postgraduate studies in the field of new technologies law, defending my thesis on the contractual liability of artificial intelligence.

First of all – professionalism and delivering my tasks on time. I gained professional experience in big law corporations and smaller boutique law firms. I have practical experience in providing services to entrepreneurs – I run the legal department of one of the most dynamically developing technology companies in Poland. I take part in the preparing of legal opinions, negotiations as well as the creation and analysis of legal contracts (including international IT projects).

Gaining knowledge, finding solutions instead of legal obstacles, and creating educational content.

I gained experience during many training sessions and conferences in the field of tax law, new technologies and intellectual property law. I participate in events on the subject of law and AI. My project of the software supporting the marketing activities of law firms in was noticed at the LegalHackaton ’21 competition. I also took part in the Games Academy – a training on legal aspects in the computer games industry, which was created in cooperation with CD PROJEKT and Baker McKenzie law firm. I am also a certified auditor of the ISO 27000:1 standard in the field of information security management systems.

I cooperated with the Polish Ministry of Justice in developing one of the largest legal educational projects addressed to primary and secondary schools.

In my daily work, I help to find answers for clients. I operate based on mutual trust and professionalism. Together with the entire team, we are able to develop a solution that will be safe and satisfactory for our partners.

My life outside of work revolves around my family and home, including my two wonderful dogs with whom we actively spend time outside. Moreover I can’t imagine my life without martial arts (MMA, BJJ, Muay Thai). I love traveling – especially to regions of the world where you can eat well. I like to spend my rare free-of-work evenings with a comic book or a good board game.
